With a 97 magna i am under the impression it will immobilise through the key as it has no touch pad. Does anyone know how to re program the key itself? Or will it have to go to mitsu like the manual says

Why do you need to re-program the key as such, is it a brand new key? Don't believe you can program the key itself in car. Touch pad meaning remote? I was also under the impression all 3rd gens had keyless entry.

To get the key programmed you will have to go for Mitsu, for remotes the procedure is listed in the handbook, takes 10 seconds to do.

No keyless entry on this one. Guess its off to mitsu to reprogram key then

Try Mister Minit....they couldn't do my TH Advance has a newer encryption, but could do older magnas such as yours. Much cheaper than dealer.
