last night i heard a strange "wizzing" sound from the rear wheel arches. it sounds like a second sprintex!
this sound wasnt there this morning
could this be a fuel pump problem? if not has anyone experienced this?

What pump are you running? The stock one or an aftermarket one like most Sprintex guys do?
If it's aftermarket (especially Walbro) then it's totally normal for it to whine when it gets hot.
You should have heard my pump yesterday after we went for a cruise up and down the twisities around Arthur's Seat. It was whining its tits off! Same things happens during summer or on hot days.
