Howdy,

Ill be fitting up a set of 380 calipers, rotors, and brake lines to my TW VRX in the next few days and have a question, what do you seal the brake line fittings with, if anything?,loctite, teflon tape?

Anything else i need to worry about (the calipers are brand new),Yes ill be bleeding the lot when im done!

Cheers

BlueTac!!

I will be doing the same in a few months. The information i have so far is that the connectors are different from the 380 to the Magna so a custom set of lines have to be made up, this might only be for my TF though. The TW might be the same as the 380?

Dont use the standard pads that Mitsubishi will try and sell you, they are rubbish :D

Cheers

I have PM`d a member that has done this conversion (Magna00) and have been told that the lines will fit ok,so im getting a set tomorrow.

Yeah, have already got a set of Ferodo Formula brake pads to go in,heard about the standard ones being as useless as a chocolate teapot:D

Ive got some part numbers if people want them for calipers, lines, pads etc

Would like to know how much you picked up the calipers for if you dont mind, and did you just get standard 380 rotors?

Yep the 380 calipers and rotors are a bolt on/off affair. Verry simple, no sealant required as the thread is tapered on the brakeline. The 380 has a slightly different hose bracket but no biggy. I had mine mod plated just to be sure(dept transport requirement) I did this recently picked up a whole set calipers and rotors for $300(5 months old)
