Its bound to happen....all those nice new polished dash rings in their new homes....:D

...its just crying out for a photo display...

...could be as good as "boring photos of Ralliart steering wheels "

...but it will be good to see how these rings lift the image of the interior

...so maybe two photos...one of the dash and one of the whole interior

...i for one are looking forward to it ,as the extra splash of glitter will complement the chrome surround on my tippy....now if i can just get some chrome interior door handles.....

the silver on the dash is eventually going to be gloss black like the power window switches, but i'm lazy and professional painting is expensive!

Dad bought these from the 'previous maker/seller' (not the recent group buy).
But he's so lazy (yeah, he's reading this as I type lol) he never put them on.

Anyway, we put them on together on the weekend.
Also replaced the orange needles with white ones (thanks slyts6 ).

Other than having to re-adjust the needles a couple of times to get them in the right positions, all went well.

They look sweet!

Can these ring be put on the verada (kj) dash or no real benefit? How much are these per set for a te magna?

They are 100 + postage, check the FS area for more details. Cannot do KH onward dashes as they are electronic blackout units.

Just thought when the electronics start up that the polished rings would really make the dash pop. Can they still be fitted to the kj dash or are the dials different?

No, the entire cluster is electronic, no gauges its all electric.

Mate could you do me a favour, and measure those rings? If they are glued in don't worry about it. Want to be 100% sure before i get them made for everyone.

I am wanting to confirm:
Inside Diameter of the cut out in the dash. This would be the outside diameter of the bottom step in the ring. In the picture below, this is the 99.5mm and 45mm measurements.
Depth from the base of the ring up to the outside step. This is the 4mm measurement in the diagram.

So far I have measurements of:
90mm for the 2 small ones.
110mm for the large one.
I am 99.9% confident these are correct as a couple of people have confirmed them.
The one I am unsure of is the depth of 5mm. Seems a lot to me...

All you have to do is get a sharf knife, and cut out a bit more.
I had this happen at least 4 times with my dials so dont worry.
Now keep in mind, Omar and I had to cut out 12 sets of dials. it took us 4 hours, so sorry if my cutting wasn't exactly 100%..

Sorry mate, we glued them in with some spots of clear silicon.

now that everyone has em, they have lost their uniqueness

I dont think they're too thick at all everyone who has seen them in my car loves them, i dont think its totally about uniqueness it improves an otherwise blandish area :)

Mine look thinner.

That would be partially because your TS has a different dash obviously, but i doubt they would be overly thinner, and in the end it doesnt fuss me i love mine so im happy :D

In the flesh (or metal in this case) they look great and not thick at all. I get nothing but positive comments about mine. Photos don't tend to reproduce the look all that well.
