Probably just chance, dont be surprised if it starts leaking again. Wheres it leaking from? if its a hose just replace it.

do not muck around with it, get it pressure tested and find the leak
is it a 4 or 6

its leaking from the bottom right hand side of the motor im not that into cars but im just interested in why it stoped. i knew it was coolant because green liquid was dripping from the bottom right - it might just be a gasket but the question is why has it stoped with just plain water??????????

hey mate,

if its leaking from the right hand side (looking from front of car i assume) it may well be your water pump especially if the leak is only occasional. mine was on the way out for a while before it gave up, but they tend to leak sometimes and be fine others when they are on the way out. if its from the side of the engine where the fan belts are there are not to many other things it could be.... i'm also assuming its a v6 im not sure about the 4's

Hope thats some help, if it is your water pump I hope you are near a cam belt change.....

If it is right side it cannot be the water pump as the water pump on the v6 is on the left (passanger side)
There is a pipe that runs through the valley under the manifolds, there is an "O" ring on each end that can leak.

If it is the passenger side, it could be the water paum (as some call it right side when looking at the car), if there is a gathering of water on top of the oil filter and also marks on the cross member then that will be your problem.
