Looking to upgrade the rear of my car, I really like the KH rear - so before i go to the wreckers to find one i wanted to know if it was possible?
I know ill need the KH tail lights as well; but main question is - on the boot lid of the KH there is obviosuly the reveresing lights, what extra wires would i have to disconnect and where from? and can they and how can they be connected to the standard TF. Cheers. JM

well, find your reverse light wires, and extend them to the bootlid!

As above just need to extend your reverse light wires from your taillight socket up onto the bootlid to the reverse lights .i don't think there is a separate loom you can remove from the rada.

To save you buggering around making your own dodgy wiring harness, just disconnect the KH wiring harness from the connector on the drivers side of the boot and plug it into your own. Before you ask, yes it does work.

Good luck finding a harness (not to many rada's around being wrecked) probably quicker to run the two wires.

Mate, if you can find the ass end of a KH intact, you'll find the wiring harness

No one said he had found one yet:nuts:
see alot of rada's at wrecking yards do you? I know in brissy they are scarce.
I'm doing the same conversion and just neatly running the extra wires its just as easy.but if you can actually get a harness it would be an easier option.

Yeah, actually I have seen a few in the main wrecking yard we have here, and I've gotten parts from them with no hassle. I'm glad you shared your educated opinion with me, you're doing the same conversion you say? I've DONE that conversion, cheers.

Anyway yes the bootlid will just bolt on and if you can get the section of wiring aswell it will make it easier. But if not its only a matter of running the extra wires for the reverse lights no biggy.Good luck with the conversion if you need any info just drop a PM and it is a worthwhile conversion it makes a big difference to looks of the car.

Ladies, keep up the crap and you will both have a 4 week holiday to cool down.
Chances are if the boot lid is there so is the wiring.
You would never in a pink fit run the wire from the plug anyway as you can pick up the reverse light wires and any others needed such as brake and parking at the boot hinge.
I am after the dark green one (cbf painting inside), have found a couple in various colours but all have been damaged. All of them have had good wiring harness however.

Are any of those bootlids in repairable condition?
Just got a repley from autoparts, couple QLD wreckers replied - said they can send me the set for $440 + freight? good price?

Provided the garnish itself is in good condition, you can use your existing bootlid if you fancy yourself handy with an angle grinder, just needs some holes cut in the flat panels below the garnish, easy to do.
OP, you'll need night/(brake maybe) light wiring as well as the KH radas also has an addional set of them on the boot lid.
