hey im looking at buying this unit but it requires the security code to be reset witch needs a remote to do so

I'm not sure on that specific model, but most Sony decks use a pretty generic remote, the two decks in our magnas at home can be operated with either remote, and I've only ever seen the one design remote for sony decks made around 2006 on. Maybe see if you can find a pic of the remote for that model, and I'll tell ya if it matches up :P

Thats actually a different remote, I've never seen that design before on a Sony..must be an older model than I thought.
