Hey guys

I'm after a DVD capable head unit (only) - No flip out or double-din screen, in fact NO SCREEN!!!!

On a VERY tight budget.... Any recommendations?

I've been looking for them but can only find ones with screens built in, or over $500. I'm thinking more $200 :P

ya, I seen them... dirt cheap, but the sound quality worries me, maybe I could fit 2 HU's and divert the sound from the eanon thing to a decent hu (no amps...)

For $200? Nup. Why do you want DVD? Music storage? Just get a CD headunit with USB input.

I bought a 7" flipout from an AMC member, should be here next weekish. So, I want DVD or possibly TV :)

Both eaglerock18 and myself have Eonon double din DVD headunits in our cars and the sound quality isn't bad at all. As long as you have it running through an amp it should be fine but in saying that eaglerock18 has 4 clarion speakers running directly off hers and it sounds good.

Eonon's run 4 x 65W surround sound ....put them through an amp and your OK

or you can pay $500 for a Pioneer

bought the sony off lukey there :) screen is on my desk atm.

yar, the JVC gigamp3 units are generally the cheapest on the market.. and dont comprimise on quality nearly as much as a brand like 'eonon' eugh.
