Hi Magna fans,

I have searched all over the forums for a similar topic on conversions.
The closest I came to was a TF magna which has no similarity as a TJ.

Does anyone know who has attempted or successfully completed an auto to manual conversion?

Ive got a Tiptronic 4 speed it goes well i make it sound manual by taking my foot off between shifts during tip mode but manual is much more direct.

Thanks guys looking foward to your replys,

Avni

Quite a few people on here have gone from self shifter to cog swapper - I'm sure one of them will be here soon.

The 4 speed is a good cruising transmission, but it's useless for having fun with.

Have a look through these -

Best way to get a box theese days is to buy a whole car from a wreckers auction then strip the box and all other giggity bits out of it. Then sell the remainder on here then once all the vultures have taken at it (yes some of you guys are when it comes to car parts :bowrofl: ) then sell the chassis to a metal scrappers for a hundred bucks. Will cost around 100-1800 for the car but you will probably make 1k back selling bits off it. Then you have everything you will require.

Um, is that the only reason you want to go manual? For the sound between gear changes?

Keep an eye out for Wookie's TJ as it's undergoing a 4spd Tippy > 5spd Manual conversion at the moment.

My KJ will undergo the same conversion hopefully by the end of this year.

:stoopid: (I seem to be doing a lot of that lately...)

But yea, no way I'll consider buying an auto until I'm about 60!
