... Uhh I'm not entirely sure what you mean.. Do you mean tyre width? You'll need new and wider rims.

nah not width then.... umm.. depth???
So you want a narrower sidewall??
If yes, then you'll need to have your speedo recalibrated or you can get bigger rims.

Rewrite this so we can understand it, so you want to go wider rims/tyres?

How do rims make a car look tinny? Maybe some alfoil would... lol.
Good quality, cheap tyres - there's an oxy moron of the automotive world. You claim to know nothing about cars or tyres, but Bob Jane are ripoffs, hmmm.
Your best bet is to go and talk to someone who knows something about tyres and rims. I would recommend Bob Jane. My local is very good and doesn't talk much crap (I say much because they're trying to make a sale afterall)
Please do some research and talk to some knowledgeable people about this matter.
If you want wider tyres, you will need wider rims most likely which will be a fairly expensive excercise.

Just let the air out of your tyres man that will give you some mad wide wheels... Seriously.

Just use a series of mirrors in and around the tyre wall. If you get the right angles (16", 29", and 66" if I remember correctly) you can make stock tyres appear 2-3 inches wider.

I've given you answers, Disciples given you 100% answers, what more do you want??? We've all given you answers. Why don't you be serious?
OK Here you go, Yes 395/15 will be a fantastic combo on your stock rims, there wont be any sidewall flex, it will handle brilliantly, and I highly suggest you do it!!!!

anyone going to be serious?Unfortunately you don't know enough to explain what you want. By the sounds of it you want larger wheels, which by default come with smaller-looking tyres. Try going through the 3rd gen pictures thread to find something you want, and check the profile of that user to see what they've got.
... and I hope you're trolling, or that English isn't your first language...

I've answered your request to the best of my ability on the previous page. I really suggest you gain some knowledge in the area of tyres and rims because it will become invaluable in making your decision. You can't rely on people to spoon feed you answers and then complain when no one answers your question (which was horribly articulated initially) in the exact manner you're expecting.

Wait, so you're getting three quarter tread tyres? Meaning they're presumably used tyres or re-treads? But you want good quality ones? Excuse me while I vomit. :disgusted :hand:

If you drift for a prescribed amount of time I'm sure the tyres will spread out and you will lose some tread, 3/4 will take some hectik movements. As for the rears just use 2000 grit wet and dry then polish afterwards.

Used tyres? Geez... I'd hate to be driving in front of you and have to stop in a hurry.

Used tyres are cursed but at least they have tread.

You know this person is gonna be the one (and I do appologise as I'm picking on them now) who's behind you when you are coming up to a set of lights and the light goes orange and you think... gun it and risk there's no copper around (because running an amber light is a $225 3 point fine you know) or step on the anchors and hope the retreads on the car behind you pull the car up ok, because I'm assuming someone who uses retreads is probably the kind of person who doesn't take out car insurance either.

How the hell is having 3/4 of the available tread left going to make the tyre look fatter?

Or spends money on their brakes :P

Guess it's all proportional. Less tread means low profile which means from the back they look fully sik!
