My vrx's rear exhaust got a few holes between the connection to the middle exhaust and the exhaust box (dunno how else to call this) ranging from 5c to 20c holes.

now i was gonna replace it when i was servicing it last time, but my mechanic cudnt get the vrx exhuast only the normal manga exhaust.

my question is are these vrx exhuast readily available? or do i have to buy from redback or lukey for a equilevant? and the chrome tip at the back do all of them have that (the equilevants)?

As far as I'm aware, the VR-X exhaust (headers, cat, piping, resonators, etc) is entirely identical to a typical Magna. The only difference is the muffler at the back. So if you have any issues in the system apart from the back muffler, any Magna one should be interchangable. For the rear muffler, the Lukey LR2779 is supposed to be identical to the stock VR-X exhaust, and is readily available.

If you've got heaps of holes, I wouldn't bother buying parts off another Magna - second-hand might not have that great a lifespan, and I imagine new from a dealer would be a rip. Just go to an exhaust shop and get something new put on. A Redback 2.5" catback system is around $400.

The Lukey equivalents are about $195 fitted. Good stuff too.

Nope its just a straight piece of pipe

It wouldn't cost that much to get your existing tip transferred and welded onto the Lukey.

Ive got a Lukey AL-5597 on order (the bolt on one)....

Im assuming i need a gasket and new bolts? Do I have to get original from Mitsi, or just get aftermarket from Auto-one?

If original, what parts am i asking for - a VRX gasket? Im assuming the diameter changes?

Hi, just a question.. where did you order them from? How much did it cost?

I ordered a brand new VR-X one from Mitso... comes with the chrome tip.. gasket was like $12... muffler was $417 or something....

The muffler box is stainless... the pipe leading to it is mild steel... it would be cheaper to just have the pipe replaced than the whole muffler...

Do a search in the for sale section... I recently sold my old one..
