well finally got my car checked today by a mechanic who basically told me everything i already new. The only thing that i didnt think of was that he told me that my injectors needed cleaning and that they were gonna get a sonicator cleaning and that i needed a throttle-body setup. How much would that usually cost?

I'd be getting worried if your car doesn't have a throttle body... mind you, if they are saying it needs to be replaced, try and get something better than the standard item.

I can't believe you're driving around without a throttle body! If you have a throttle body clean it yourself with some throttle body cleaner for $2.

i think the only way to break/lose a throttle body setup would be to have a BIG accident.

Mate, your in Melbourne, give me a PM at some stage if you want, I am sure I can do pretty much what ever you need cheaper than the retail mechanic.

The Throttle body clean should be done car off to ensure it is done properly. My webpages tech section has some good pics and directions.

No.... I have not been driving around without a throttle body. dahhhh
A throttle body setup means it needs an adjustment. Like tuning the throttle body.
and i already had it done. tune up, throttlebody setup(TUNE-UP) and injector sonication.
As some of you may have known ive been having issues since i put the extractors on with fuel effeciency. Was getting 350kms a tank. after all that done to the car ive been driving all weekend and have used half a tank of petrol after having done 250kms.
So i think it was money well worth spending.
