Oh I get it, since you lost so much weight the car sits higher!

Just teasing man, it's all love. But that sounds like a good price, where from?

Mate, that is a good price however.

Go Kings (or motorline are made by Kings as well) and you will pay on aferage $150 - $160 each end plus fitting. They are a little more but are a great spring and although Lovells are not bad they are a little stiff for my liking.

you use thw superlow/low combo to even up the gaps in the guards
but you'll end up with the wedge effect
if you want a even drop all round go for either lows all round or in lovells case superlows all round

Quoted for emphasis. The King Lows are closer to Lovell Superlow height than Lovell Low height. I think the Lovell Lows are closer height-wise to the King Low SPs.

I had my Kings fitted for $350 at the tyre factory. They are a bit rough looking at ttf and had my car all day but for the price its pretty good.

Thats odd, from all my emails to both companies,i have always found the King springs to have a higher rate than the Lovells for the same application,be it for progressive or linear rate springs

Its got to do with the way they are coiled and then set, also lovells use a thinner coil and dont have the progressive rate design for the rear springs. Ive been in cars with both and honestly they both feel very very similar. Ive always had kings in my cars, never ever had issues with them sagging, paint falling off them, making noises or not performed up to my standards. I reccomend them to all my customers and in the 100's of sets i sell a year i have never had a set back or a customer come back and complain about them, EVER.

EDIT:

hey Madmagna/other admins, can we have a Spring FAQ somewhere, might be helpful to the guys asking questions about springs.

I just got mine lowered today, and am getting quite a bit of noise when going over bumps or around corners at speed. I got the King Superlow/Low combo in my Verada, and I think it's hitting the bump stops. Is there a cure for this? It's quite concerning and it's making me baby the car around!

Hmmm, hopefully its not the superlows, maybe a spring not seated properly?
Coda,i'm getting KING lows tommorow. The superlows have less travel from what i understand and that could be a real pain.

Took it back to the place I got the work done, and they checked it out and discovered that the bump stops have disintegrated, so there are in effect no bump stops on my car.

So whenever I go over any sort of dip in the road, when the springs go back up I get a huge jarring clunk. The bump stops are on order and should be here tomorrow or thursday.

Have to take it easy until then!

...this reputable place didn't notice the bumpstops were wearing out when they were doing the work?

Yeah well who knows.

They're fixing it so that's the main thing. I just have to be super careful going over any bumps/undulations in the road as it's quite a severe noise.

Hi guys just another question - is it OK for the fronts to be hitting the bump stops if I go over bumps or undulating roads? I'm just a bit concerned as to how durable the bump stops are, and if I should be worried. Is it a normal thing with superlows?

It seems getting the Verada lowered isnt as straightforward as I had hoped :(

yeah man as now the travel is reduced so it'll hit the stops a bit more.
