We have 4 remotes to our TF.

Two are new, one has no buttons left and the other has a cracked key ring attachment bit. Of the two dodgy ones I could make a good one.

Can they be pried open without damage?

I have a mate who has a 2000 model Magna but he has no remotes (busted) could I reprogram one of mine to give him? or are the model specific?

and the only reason we bought new ones was because of the damaged rubber buttons , can they be bought cheap? I know Mitsu doesn't sell the buttons only.

yes you could make 1 out of the 2 but you have to cut them apart carfully along the seam line and then glue it back together and no you can't use a TF 1 on a later model it won't work.

TH-TW ones can be pried open? Only way to replace the battery.

na mate tf ones u cant open, i tried, but destroyed it

I came across a single button remote with the rubber button being broken, I managed to cut it open with a blade (along the seam) and did the dodge and actually used the rubber insert under the keys from an old keyboard and used that as the replacement button, its not fantastic but does the job. After glueing the remote shut I siliconed the groove so it didn't look like crap, as its the spare remote I'm not too fussed about how it looks.
