Well recently i took my GT2600 out of the dustiness of storage and back into driving...ness?

Getting around in that most of the time at the moment.

The other day i decided to change the tail lights/garnish because they had been bothering me. I took some immaculate lights out a spare magna and used a brand new garnish i had and put some brand new stripes on them... which i got from the mitsubishi clearance house.

I think it looks alot tidier in the rear now :)

The garnish also had a crack right in the middle/top which was very annoying, not that it shows up in the first photo... but it was there!!

Not too sure why im telling you all this, someone may be interested hehe! I havent bought any for a long time so this is the next best option! haha.

Alex.

I Painted the strip Black cos I hated the look of the old faded stripy one peeling with cracks and all... I do need to replace my left rear tail light also cos it has a big crack in it from being hit by coffee cups thrown out of a car when I was parked on the side of the road. dick heads...

I have a before pic somewhere on my comp but not on photobucket and dont have time to do it now haha, but you get the gist of it. I liked it better with black, it looks more individual and unique.

Anyways, that looks a million times better with the new strip on it, haha. It makes a huge difference to the appearance of the car.

yeah, thanks.

Its my opinion that when a tp has a nice set of stripes on the tail lights it means its a pretty good car!

Have you been going to the fortnightly meet things? how is the "old tp" received?

The black on yours certainly gives it a meaner 'edge' especially with the black spoiler and being an elite the black-outs around the bottom!

where you after a front spoiler? in the other post i mentioned theres one that would be cheap and easy (and is off the car!) at lonsdale if you were...

i've been to one of the meets, I'd like to be able to attend more but Wednesday is a crap night for me haha. It seemed to be 'appreciated' when I kept up on the eagle cruise haha. And i had to take the 'i hope the brakes still work on the old 1st gen' comments hahaha. But shes a nice car.

I would like a front spoiler, and the sideskirts too eventually, but cant get it right now cos work is screing around with me and giving me bugger all hours which kinda restricts how much I can spend on the car.

Wouldn't worry too much there, I got the same comments with a second gen. lol I think it's just a bias toward third gens, nothing against the old Magnas... sometimes some of us just need reminding that a Magna is a Magna regardless of age, she can still keep up just fine.

These first gens are looking pretty damn good, you would never know they're 20+ years old. Nice work and good to see the founding Magna's haven't been forgotten.
