I used all Waproo products: "Stripper" first, then black "Leather Dye", then "Sealer" on top. Came up tops. One bottle of each is enough, should cost you $20-$30 for all three products (about $7.00-$9.50 each).
The most important thing (in my view) is to strip the red areas thoroughly with Stripper, to allow the black dye to penetrate at the next stage. I did not do this properly the first time and consequently when taking photos with the flash on I noticed red showing through. I then re-stripped it and re-dyed it and it's fine now.
I'd actually PM 98_KFXI, I'm yet to see his in the flesh, but his looks the best done from the photos I've seen on here, might want to ask him exactly what he used and how he applied it!

Has anybody tried this stuff? http://www.waproo.com.au/products/dyenshine.htm
Would allow me to skip applying the sealer afterwards.
