Due to the better options of after market DOHC engines I was wondering if I can drop my SOHC V6 head onto a DOHC motor? Any one attempted this or am I pissing in the wind?

....?
Why would you do that any way??

Because there seems to be alot more 3.0 DOHC available than SOHC and if I stick with SOHC it wont involve a ECU/Loom swap

I think you mean DOHC head onto a SOHC block.
The answer for that is no, coolant and oil galleries don't match up.
You wouldn't want to put a SOHC head onto a DOHC block anyway, that's taking a huge step back.

No, I specifically want to put a SOHC Head on a DOHC block, not as a performance mod but I have a blown 6G72 with a conrod through the side of the block

Sorry, it just won't line up :(
I am sure you should be able to find a complete SOHC around.

Oh yeah I can certainly find them but the prices and km's are crap in comparison to some of the DOHC ones I can get.
Cheers for the help guys
