For $40 looks like a good price being brandnew plus it also has OEM mounting brackets.
Don't know how much one would cost from Mitsu themselves but being them probs expensive. I would check the Mitsu price first.
I've got a PWR one myself and it's the largest you can get for a 6.

you do realise that all auto magnas have these already?

if you have a manual it isnt a matter of tapping some fittings into the case and mounting it in the front bar...

Wow, you should have told us all this before all those people went and bought aftermarket ones.

Edit: The crappy one at the bottom of the radiator does not count.

People buy aftermarket coolers to better protect their trannies especially if they do lots of towing. The OEM one found intergrated with the Radiator is for the majority who just drive their cars from A to B and leave it to others to keep their car running.

my Verada has a sizeable one mounted infront of the radiator (not part of it) i just assumed that was factory for v6 Autos?

the stocko one i have is quite large for a stock item (same size as used engine oil cooler on 4g63T) and is only going to be bested by moving it to a more open area of the bumper or putting a fan on it.

I didnt realise 3rd gens this was such an issue

I can't see the ebay item anymore, but it sounds like it's the same as the (used) one I installed on my TJII Advance a month or two ago:

IMHO i'd rather spend bout $120 and buy this (http://www.daviescraig.com.au/main/trans_coolers.asp?prodid=6) proper kit, cooler looks much larger and comes from a reputable manufacturer.
Ill be fitting one in next mth or so if I keep the Magna.

Yeah none have the OEM ones the 2nd gens had, its quite common for 3rd gens to run aftermarket 2nd gen tranny coolers these days.

I remember when I was on a Townsville cruise up one of the mountains there they all had to have a stop (all 3rd gens, most autos) to let the trannys cool down:bowrofl: ha
