Hi again everyone.

Just received a recall notice for the 380, to do with a fuel tank strap. Am a bit miffed cos to get it fixed I have to travel to Townsville - which means a day off work and half a tank of fuel plus however long it will take fix it - apparently they have to take the fuel tank out...... and with this particular service dept Im not looking forward to that! Its just the inconvenience of it all really.

Anyone else get one?

Thing is is that I dont go to Mitsubishi I just get a local service centre to do it as Mitsi arent where I live and the Mitsi dealer in Tsv arent my fav people. They use all genuine parts and the like so its all copacetic - and Im sure the local fellas cant fix this issue. So it becomes a bit of a hassle for me, cos of the dump i am currently residing in.

Mine is a 11/06 model but yeah its not a big deal just wondering really if anyone else got one too.

07 Series 2 model here - wait, lemme check the mail - nope. Only the standard junk mail that comes with a mailbox that has "No Junk Mail" rivetted on it. The recall is nothing to worry about - unless you are prone to having massive car accidents, which is the trigerring event for this recall. Seems they've had enough prangs to get a trend (so more spare parts for me!).

I've dealt with Pickerings in Townsville before. They have a few too many trainees in my opinion and not enough supervisors. At least they weren't as incompetent as the Innisfail dealer, to which I am never ever going back to again.

Hello,

I received my recall letter as well. Have booked it in for next week.
Have to run the fuel down to make it easier if they need to remove the petrol tank.

Thanks and can you let me know approx how long they have your car - just out of curiosity.

Cos when I take mine to Townsville I want to have an idea of how long it should take them. They are notorious for dicking people about - well they have screwed me over since the day i bought the car anyways.

Thanks

I took my car in this morning for the fuel tank strap recall.
Was running a little late and ended up dropping it off at 9.30am.
They told me to come back at 12.30pm to pick it up.

To my surprise I got a text message at 11.30am saying the car was ready.
Picked it up at 12.00pm and all was fine.

Painless experience. :D
