Just though I'd post some pics of my new rims.
I've put 235/45/18s on so I can hopefully still drive on dirt roads without shaking all my teeth out!
There seems to be a few little clearance issues; the front will need a little help from a heat gun - just a tiny bit of rubbing & on the rear, I might remove the flares, rather than trim them, then roll the guards.
Just took these with the 'phone as the camera batteries were flat. Will take some better ones tomorrow, hopefully.

King Low SPs. I had pedders in before but the wieght of the LPG & the AWD made it sit too low for me.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. lol lol
Spoiler stays till I find a bootlid in perfect condition to replace it with. can't be stuffed with grommets etc, filling holes, etc.

The 45 profile tyres really make those 18"s look tiny!

I was speaking to you regarding this in another thread. Mind posting some pics of the trimmed flares, please?

just trim where it hits , mine was hitting on the rear of the flare (towards the boot) when i had a full car load and you could see where it was scrubbing.

Mine appears to be hitting in the front. Some negative camber coming up, I think. It's just scraping. I'm going to remove the spacers & see if that helps. There's no visible sign of any rubbing in the rear atm.
I like your tyre, wheel combo, it looks great and is a sensible choice for your needs.

']The 45 profile tyres really make those 18"s look tiny!Nah. The lip's too fat and the spokes don't go out far enough, that's why they look small.
Yeah I dunno,so many people go on about big wheels are better and then stick cheap crap tyres on em.

I'm running Kumho KU31s here mate. IMHO not a cheap tyre. Not the best available but good enough for me. :D
Anyone care to price any other brand with this size/ load rating? $500 minimum.

Thanks for that! :gtfo:
If you actually look closely, TUFFTR's spot on! I've had the 235/40s on these wheels & they actually look a lot bigger than they do here.

All AWD's came with 16' rims standard regardless of model, Mitsu's excuse was not enough clearance in rear suspension arm.

Correct. And they're not far wrong. I've got about 3mm clearance on the inside with this combo. Doesn't appear to be rubbing though. No marks, etc on the tyres yet.

thats all the clearance i got with my 19's on and mine are 234/35/R19, the stupid tyre place had 245/35/R19 and it was rubbing like anything (i left a shiney mark on the arm thingylol)
