Just had the TJS2 wagon lowered on King Lows and KYB's from Philcom {cheers cobba} and cant wipe the smile from my face.
If you are a TJ wagon owner pondering whether to lower cause you want to correct the "wagon wallow", then i can soundly report it completley transforms the car. You dont need to go superlow IMHO if you are worried about scrapage - you can get a LOT of zing from just King Lows.
Love it. Im making up reasons to drive my car round the suburb...in fact...ive...a...just gotta take back a video...

, brakes much more responsivly and puts down the power better. Feels like the engine has a bit more poke as the car isnt wasting momentum through saggy rear suspension...
i know your exctied but seriously..... what the ****.... you believe any of that?
zomg!!!1111 my car is terh fasts coz of my suspensionzzzzz

Lol wut?
just to contribute though, yes wagons look tops dumped like a bitch, but (even though i think you edited your post now), it wouldnt have made you noticably faster or better at breaking im pretty sure

Give the guy a break.
If the car feels better - that's the main thing.
tj_morgz,
Your post "Classic" was probably all you needed to do. Going back and editing probably wasn't the best move. Better to just accept a little bit of a razz and move on. But on that note, others here should cut people some more slack sometimes.

i believe him when he says that his acceleration feels more responsive. when the car sits higher and with older shock the car would 'dip' under braking causing it to feel like the brakes have a slight delay, same works for the acceleration being that the car is getting the power through slightly quicker not having to 'wait' for th car to 'raise' under acceleration. it wouldn't make more power, nor would it have better brakes but i would have to say that after doing my underbody/front end cert II i understand that it would 'feel' more responsive.

Pfft too much bawwwwwwwing
Act like putting lowered springs into a magna here is a new thing... expect to get burned.
Especially if you suggest it adds power :doubt:
It just gives you more confidence with your car, and then some overconfidence with the butt dyno... Play your corners safe ;)

yeah butt dyno is a large factor with anymod,
its all simple math
lowered springs + magna = boner
boner + driving magna with lowered sprngs = moar power
-boner + lowered springs on magna = lowered magna

-1
too much boner, not enough sense
take this for example:
12 x boner = 42 + xy, solve for boner.
now THAT's simple maths.

I would cut people slack if something else then the same questions/comments in a different named thread each week would appear saying one of 3 things:
1: Which springs should i buy?
2: how much would said springs cost?
3: omg i lowered the car and now lets post about it.
As i said before, Chill they are springs.

I'd happily accept that lowering the car improves responsiveness and braking.
If the car has an inch less play in the rear springs then there's less room to dip on take-off. Conversely, if there's an inch less in the front springs, then you have an inch less room to dip when braking.
It wouldn't be a life-changing difference in either case, but it might be noticeable, particularly in a wagon and particularly to a person who thrashes it around a bit.

i would have to disagree there, in the braking circumstance anyway, there's less braking distance which coule mean bumping into someone on the street of flat out running them over. any one ever seen the ads that monroe and pedders do regarding braking distance?? it's real and even if you don't want to agree the figures are there tried, tested and proven. if you haven't sen the ads i suggest youtube, search for braking distance and monroe.

Search function, nice.
Around 240 for a whole set all round, I'd recommend Lovells over Kings or even Dobinsons (not many people have these)

My VRX has the same set up aye, awesome set up for magnas if you looking for balance of handling vs comfort. But dont put 20's on cause you'll just **** that balance right up
