As the title would suggest I've got a little problem on the KR, it would seem there is a rogue lash adjuster in the rear bank (6G72). Me and my father rebuilt the engine six months ago, we didn't replace the lash adjusters and know ones basically clicking all the time.
I've bought six new ones for the rear bank so question is.....
1. I'm thinking I'm best off removing the top half of inlet manifold, anyone done it without removing the top section manifold?
2. Is it a fun job?lol
3. I'm not a mechanic by trade but have a lot of mechanical experience and confidence but work a little slower then garage mechanics, how many hours ruffly would this take?

Couple of hours if you're drinking beer!!!
It's pretty easy to replace.... once you open her up you'll see what needs to be done....
If you've got rockers (I'm not sure) use a big flat blade screwdriver to compress the valve spring...(place said screw stick under the cam shaft) remove the rocker then remove the lash adjuster.... then put you're new one in... reverse the disassembly... dead easy,.....
Don't forget to drop the new ones in some oil to "soak" maybe a small syringe to squirt oil directly into the oil hole in the side and top.....before you pop them in...
get some oil into the galleries that way they aren't dry when you first start it up...
Should do the trick......

All done, removed throttle cable and associated wiring, removed top peice of intake mainfold only. There is enough room and length with the coolant hoses to the throttle body to leave them on and put it to one side. Removed rocker cover, removed rocker towers/rockers replaced lash adjusters. Re-install and silicone seal. Laughing.lol

All good except for the silicone, hope you used the proper RTV stuff.
As for compressing valve springs, why bother taking the effort when a few 8mm bolts and the whole rocker gear is off. You can then properly clean the rockers and ensure that the bleed holes are clean as these are a large reason that these fail in the first place

Yeah I took the rocker shafts off, I used the silicone stuff that come in the gasket set that is basically the sump gasket in a tube. I also used some of ultra blue, pretty sure that is a rtv.
