Bastard, I looked around when I was recently over NZ and it was going to cost around $100 to get a set, and no-one could guarantee that they could find a full set.

These are on the (some?) Diamantes, it's actually chrome-plated underneath and sprayed silver, Tuffy found that you can rub off the silver to reveal the chrome. I assume they determined that the chrome was a bit over the top for the average buyer.
Most of these have the silver half-worn anyway.

LOL just get a set for like $5 from a wreckers and a can of spray chrome, heck even get some plastic primer...you can do just as good a job as the photo and it will be half the cost imo....

Actually - its Dull Chrome Finish on the Plastic. I am trying to negotiate parts from NZ wracker. He is happy to ship it to NSW. I asked him for few things : Diamante seriersBumper with Fog lights, Front Grill & Lights set. If you guys planning to get some thing, we can combine the postage!

why the **** would you waste time and money using crap paint on door handles (always touched, paint will just wear off eventually) when you can get these?

I used the paint stripper in a tin with a cotton bud to get off what i wanted. if you just use the spray on paint stripper you'll remove the black backing and it'll look poo.

Good work though.

I like my handles, they're different and the're a new way of thinking. they're also a cooler shape compared to the TR/TS handles. meh...whoever suggested getting 3g handles in a 2nd gen, try it before you knock it, you might be pleasantly surprised...

The idea works. as in the fit and open the door, but you just know they do not belong there and have been put in upside down, I dont think this should be a "trend" :P

they'd be fine if the normal lock could be removed and the one on the handle made to work

The rear lock snippers are working on the handles. I havent got around to doing the front ones and I cant imagine it'd be very dificult. If someone were to do this, I'd encourage them to fibreglass the orig lock snippers up and put them back in place because it looks crap where there's two snippers on the door but makes for a laugh when your mate forgets and starts yelling and screaming when they think they're locked n. lol
