Hey guys

If you refer to the photo of my car below you will see where i want to paint (sideskirts) if i buy the colour that i get mixed, in a can, can i just spray it straight on or should i go through a process.

Also i have the stock exhaust at the rear, just those ugly two rust things that come out (but they point down!)

what can i do about this? what is a cheap way (<$100) of fixing this up, i know, exhaust tips, but the boy @ supercheapo said they cant put them on cause there facing down

also, is buying KING springs off fleabay a good idea..?, if so how much are they to fit.. otherwise whats a cheap alternative of lowering..or a reputable company... and i don't mean cut my springs or anything

hey man, when i had a stock muffler i bought two X 2.5 inch stainless steel dump tips from autobarn, they even put them on for free for me, they just cut of the old dump tips and welded on the new ones, think it cost about $75, lol the tips were expensive

If you simply spray a premix rattle can over the top, it's going to look ugly. I'd imagine you'd need to sand back the area, put a few coats down while sanding in between and then put some clear on top. The difficult part would be making sure it matches the area around it.

If you don't feel confident doing it, get a panel beater to do it, because you could easily make it look worse.

Save up and get a new muffler, and then get different tips put on it. A straight-through rear muffler is the best value performance upgrade you can do to a non-Sports Magna. Spending money on the stock one is a waste.

Kings, Lovells and Pedders are the three most common sources of lowered suspension on AMC. Everyone has their faves, but they're all good brands.

You're not going to save much money by buying the actual springs off eBay. If you're going to get them professionally installed, you may as well buy the springs straight off the guy. They might be more likely to give you a small discount on springs or installation if you purchase both from them.

thanks for the info man.. but i don't like the sound of the majority of V6 mufflers, must of them anyway.. they sound woggy and muztek, they all sound like they have a deep drone... i like the more vocal ones.lol. any opinions (and whats a ruff estimate of price)

though in saying that i have heard a few nice ones, if i did spend the money i would like one that sounds umm..sporty...

Lukey LR2779. I think it's around $200? It's the same muffler that's fitted on the Sports/VR-X models. Isn't overly loud, but it doesn't really drone, and has a nice, crisp note.

I've asked a similar question about exhausts on another thread. Where can I get this Lukey brand? Do stores like Midas have em in stock? Also, do they come with a tip?
