man such a collection, im using a beat up first gen as a daily so i have a soft spot for them, i love the gold rims care to share what the are?

mate the paint on the one with the rims is stunning!!!!! for a how old car?? haha i dont even know but very old!!

hehe, sorry i called the thread that due to the lack of activity on the first gen forum lately!

The wheels, not 100% sure off hand, theyre 17s and i bought them simply to keep them gold like the gt magnas have... but just make it look a bit (or a lot?) better! I think theyre Avanti... theyre not the most expensive, but i feel they are the perfect fit.

I try keep all my magnas nice, but the paint does get a beating... (on all the cars in the caryard - noone buys anything so theyre often stuck in teh sun :() the blue one has the best paint of the 3 and the burgandy one probably has the worst hehe, its not terrible but not fantastic... alot better than any other burgandy one ive seen though.

Id love to get them all out for a photo, like i did well over a year ago, there was only 8 then... a lot more than double that now!!

haha yeah i member seeing the pictures out from last year, they were awesome!! do it again, neeed a panoramic (spelling?) camera! haha

Edit: actually theirs a gt that i see near my uni all the time.. should see if they wanna palm it off and ill start my own collection!! haha it has the gold rims and all!

I saw a GT parked in ttp carpark yesterday arvo near cafe primo in a disabled spot. It was in top nick too, no dings, and perfect paint job still.

I really like them rims too... They make a huge improvement, whenever I see a first gen with some non-stock rims I get a boner... Well not literally...

Aaaanyway, great work mate, looking forward to seeing a group shot :)

i use my GT for work now :) its gettin hot with no darm aircon think ill take the TF tomorrow, gt will get some work done on her this weekend its being spitefull seeing me paint up the dash of the TF for the car pc, so she decided the tappets on the mild cam need adjusting i dont mind too much as im up for my 6 month cam seal change anyway he he

Best looking 1st gens i've ever seen, too.
They aren't overly "done" up or trying to be too out there. They just look very clean and very well kept.
I like the stock one GT-2600 with factory gold wheels. I'd have that as a runaround car anyday.

You should take some nice high res shots of your best one and submit them for the AMC screensaver :)

I wouldn't mind a 1st gen Grand Tourer Wagon to do up as a little project, actually might even think about it soon, i miss my mums old 1st gen, it was good fun.
