I know this isnt exactly the correct thing to do, but was just wondering if anyone knows where i can download a Manual for a TR auto online... preferably free.
I need to check my alternator, but as i dont know much.. dont really know what im looking for, and trying to fix..
(ps, my problem is my battery light is staying on just after ive bought a brand new battery.. well this and about a dozen other 'minor' things ;))

Good to see you gave plenty of time for others to see this post and respond.
The battery light will generally come on when your altinator is had it.
if it is a 4, you can get one from Tm thru TS 4 cyl models.
What elso is wrong with the car, we may be able to give you some help there too
i have a gregories manual....i can scan a couple pages and email them to you if u need..........by a couple pages thats exactly what i mean, im not scanning the whole book....
orrrrrrrr you could go to your local autobarn/supercheap/auto-one/kmart and buy one for around $20-$40.....i got mine for $20 at Kmart during the X-mas sale.

that would be awesome Samurai, and very much appreciated if you could do that.
Just the pages reffering to the Alternator/battery would be a miracle for me.
Id love to buy it, but afraid wont have the funds for another fortnight, and thinking my car will stop b4 then :(
So I would appreciate that greatly..ty
email is miltonbrown1@hotmail.com
thanks again :)

mate, all you need to do is get a multimeter and check the charge when the car is running, I am sure from what you have said the altinator is not working correctly. Probably age.

My alternator blew up a few months ago; it was hilarious because smoke was billowing out of my bonnet all the way up to the sparky's; and I was just sitting at the lights casually whilst onlookers thought the car was on fire. Had to hold the engine at around 2000rpm to get a lousy 12.5V out of the alternator otherwise the engine would have stalled. Damn the cabin stunk of electrical fire for weeks afterwards.
Cost $250 for a brand new Bosch alternator/regulator fitted, or $150 they offered for a reco one.
