I was Wondering how much something like this would cost to be installed (along with the rest installed in car.) if i had the components already bought. I'm on the North side of brisbane if anyone knows any good places for quotes. Any other ideas on what i could do to the boot to keep as much room as possible but still a sweet custom set up also welcome.
Thanks Guys.

Taking a rough stab, But i wouldnt be surprised if it was around the $600+ mark. Thats a hell of a lot of effort in that

Does that include the wiring, materials and install?
I'm looking at doing this rather than a sub box as my mum was recently ran into by a Learner hooning around and the boot carpet needs to be fixed after the pannel beaters fixed the whole rear end (thank god for insurance). So i thought i may aswell start the work now for a decent car by the end of next year.

Well Im not QUOTING you so like, cant exactly say, best bet is to take a picture of it to some audio shops and ask
Thats a FG sub box too, which is why it makes it more expensive.
Good quality wiring and RCA's all throughout a car will set you back $200 minimum..

I got quoted $300 alone for a custom fibreglass sub box moulded to the corner of the boot (similar to what Bigs sells) from a local car audio installer.
Then you have to fabricate the amp mounts then carpet it all. Don't forget the materials used - they aren't expensive, but it all ads up. And THEN you can purchase wiring and run it through the car. The whole while, the guy's charging you his hourly rate for labour.
I would have thought a boot install similar to Asylum's would come close to a grand by the time you wire it up and actually install everything.

If he had change from $1500 for an install like that he was doing well.

spot on, it cost $1500, with me supplying components.

Get a quote from an installer - then you will know exactly how much :D

forgot to mention... best thing about an install like this, its quite capable of hitting the 130-140dB range, and still take it camping!

It's southside, but Northfield Moorooka arguably do some of the best installs in Queensland. Have only heard good things about them.
Considered doing an install yourself? It's uber time consuming, but it's not as difficult as you might think.

do it urself.. an install like asylum's wouldn't be that hard to do. yourself. there's actually a guy on the forums here that makes a custom box for our cars like that which you could use to save the fiberglass.. then its just the mdf panels to suit ur amps and wht not.
pm megatron he should be able to get u some fairly decent gear at a good price.
