i have an 88 magna wagon elite, with efi, TN

the rad fan doesnt work anymore, its burnt out. i've checked fusible links etc. and i've gotten the other fan ( a/c) on a switch in the meantime,

i can pull one from a wreckers, does it matter if it comes from a tn,tm,tp? and does it matter the year?

also ive seen plastic ones in newer cars and at super cheap, which were resonably priced.

would it be better to get a new plastic one? or go for an 88 from a wreck?

and will the ones ive seen at super cheap and auto barn fit?

check your the relay for the fan or if its burnt out grab one from the wreckers as you said. Try and get one from the same model car (magna buff would know which ones fit and which don't)

a fan from a TN or TP will fit
also
make sure the thermatic sender switch
.. is switching on the fan

the ones at supercheap units are larger and require some DIY to fit to the radiator
