I have a 97 TE 3.0L exec and i currently have a piece of what i assume is the splash protector from the front right wheel well that seems to be unattached and hanging loose for some reason, as such it is clearly hitting the ground when going over speed bumps and through depressions etc, makes one hell of a noise. anyway it seems that there is also supposed to be a front splash sheild also, my car is clearly missing this, can anyone supply a photo of the correct undercarriage of the front end of a 97 TE or equivalent so i can assess what i'm missing.....

Many thanks in advance for any info.

Cheers

It is just a piece of black plastic extending from the bottom of the front bumper to the engine. Do a google image search for engine splash guard. Should be plenty of images.

As for the wheel arch splash guard, use some cable tie to tie it up.

My front engine splash guard falls off every few weeks these days. Even after I replaced the plastic screw job with a steel bolt (got about 50 of them so dont bother me, eventually itl stay).

lol. i remember when mine kept coming off at front of car (well, underneath).

I just cut the ****er with a saw. lol
I bought plastic bolts from Mitsi, and they asked for like $9 for like 2 of them. bloody crazy.
