I have found a guy here in mildura that has a sigma turbo that he is willing to part with.
do i buy it and put it on the magna.. or is there some other way i can get some noticable pony's out of this 2.6?
POD and CAI are going on in the next forghtnight. canon muffler went on yesterday, superlow springs went in the front and lows in the back last night. other then that she's a stocker. (apart from a few 1000 dollars worth of audio gear!)

The sigma turbo is a carby based system (generally) a 2.0 litre engine, but you can bolt the 2.0 litre exhaust manifold on the 2.6 engine (I think..)
If you're car is carbly (which not many TRs were) you might be in luck for a complete bolt in job otherwise you're going to need something fabricated for the inlet system and you're going to need to modify you're exhaust to bolt onto the turbo. You also need to hook up all the oil lines, etc.
Next - If you're cars EFI you're going to need some type of piggy back system (Greddy E-manage, Apexi SAFC, Unichip, etc) to flow the additional fuel for the tubo etc etc.
Apart from that - go for it! I would! :D

hrmm i might have to do that one i think...
what do i need before i can go to this kind of upgrade? im not going to be running huge amounts of boost. well and truly under 10psi... closer to 5ish.
would i benifit from stage 2 cams? port polish etc? what should i be looking at and if anyone can give me a rough dollar estimate as to what i should be looking at paying, that'd be bonza!

first, do not waste your time running a carb/turbo system, it will end in tears.
If you are going to that extent, use the manifold from the 2l, inlet needs no modifications at all that I am aware of as the TB should be sealed.
Get an adapter made up to screw onto the oil filter holder then the oilfilter screws onto this, the sump can easily have a fitting put into it for oil return.
A add on chip should do the job just fine for lower boost, would not be a bad idea for a intercooler seems you will have to re manufacture the inlet from the filter, thru the turbo to the TB.
Also do your self a favour, convert the fuel pump to a VL Turbo or something similar to save a lean out and a melt down.
My old RX4 running 18 pounds ran 2 Vl Turbo pumps thru 2 10mm lines.

Madmagna: im not even going to look at the turbo (apart from mayby buying it) untill after october wen i get my licence back. what im looking at now, is what i eed to do to the internals of the car in order for the engine to be strong enough to run the turbo. any ideas? maybe even someting i could get some extra go out of it between now and the turbo?
