been scoutong the net and found some interesting info.
"The 6G74 and 6G75 share the same Rods. The crank main journal and rod journal diameters are also the same in both. The main difference from the 74 and 75 is the bore and stroke. Mitsu increased the 75 dipslacement by moving the piston pin up ~ 2mm, +2mm bore and around +4mm stroke. Mitsu used the 74 rod in the 75. The specs are as follows:
6G74/6G75 shared specs
152mm rod length
Main journals = 64mm
Rod journals = 55mm"
is the 380 crank forged or not? if not the mitsubishi endevour 6g75 engine has forged cranks.

Interesting, I wonder if the crank, connecting rods and pistons from the 75 will all fit into a 74 block. If yes then this could be worthwhile doing for my upcoming conversion.

I know the (380) manuals have a steel crank for durability.... I know nothing else i'm afraid.

The 3.5L magna engines ive built all had factory steel cranks, the guy who does my balancing work commented on how good the magna 3.5L crank is compared to its rivals

Nope not on the 3L ive seen. The 3L as a whole unit has a weaker bottom end (crank, 2 bolt mains etc), although the stock pistons are a bit stronger than the 3.5L ones.
