Hey,
I am thinking about getting a set for the rear of my car to make it lower. What are peoples opinions, experiences etc with these springs? Are they good, bad etc. What would be a rough price for a set of these for the rear aswell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

this is for a cressida
they make good springs, to whatever measurements you want. they do take a while though and were about 400ish for 4 springs plus whatever postage is. The only reaosn i would use k-mac is if you couldnt get anything else off the shelf for what you need

i have kmac super lows all round. they are a great spring and i got them through repco for about $350 from memory. NOTE: 3'' drop in the rear and whiteline camber kit and your sittin on maximum adjustment.:doubt: . i find them a little too firm for everyday use especially on the s*#% roads in far north qld, but you get used to it. handling is awsome though!!

My impressions of KMAC are mixed. Personally I'd just order custom spings through kings (well I did actually). They make custom-order stuff too, not just off-the-shelf stuff, and are probably a safer option due to the fact they do so many custom orders from all around the country.

Well based on personal experience dealing with them, they are a bit of a mixed bag. To be honest I think these days they trade more on their good reputation from past achievements than anything outstanding they do currently.
E.g I've heard a tonne of complains about their custom swaybars being ill-fitting, and their adjustable strut tops breaking after very few kms and offering too limited a range of adjustment etc.
Although I havn't personally heard of any problems with their springs. But based on my impressions from dealing them in the past, I'd go through Kings for peace of mind. I personally wouldn't deal with KMAC unless it was a last resort.
OP: how low are you planning to go. If you're gonna be dropping it much more than 40-50mm below factory without changing the rest of the suspension to suit, IMO it doesn't matter what springs you use as it's gonna handle/ride like poo anyway.
If you're keeping the factory shocks, you don't really wanto run a spring rate much stiffer than factory, or it's gonna ride/handle crap. Problem is soft springs and low ride height = constant bottoming out. Stiff springs will prevent bottoming out, but the ride will be harsh and bouncy because the factory shocks won't be up to the job of controlling them.
Looks pretty low already in your sig, do you really wanto ruin the ride/handling of your car for the sake of making it look lower? IMO dumped cars look stupid anyway. Do things properly or don't bother is my 2c.
