Hey all,

I've booked my magna into EzyGas in sunshine for a gas conversion next month and was wondering if others had theirs done by ezygas and whether there was any issues or any feedbacks - is the job professional? (i.e. clean setup under the bonnet etc).

It's 2299 all up, plus you get 2grand back from the govt.

They also mentioned as part of the setup they will replace the spark plugs - i told him, are you going to replace ALL of them? and they said yes - i understand the rear spark plugs are a prick to do?

Cheers

they change the sparkplugs to a different 'heat' IIRC

also im guessing for that price your going a mixer and not injected? Personally i think injected is worth the extra $$$

They will go 1 heat range cooler, due to LPG being a dry combustable wheres petrol is a wet combustable, they will no doubt pull the manifold off to fit the mixer so changing the plugs will be a 10min extra job, not that it is hard anyways.

2299 was a special price in the paper today for the first 200 callers. If u look on ther website they dont hav a mixer system so it must be injected.

EDIT: I was wrong, there is a mixer system listed.

hmm they never said if i wanted the injected ones - im not really into the performance, just more about saving cash - is there a problem with the mixer ones you described? they said it has 100,000 km warranty and lifetime labour warranty so i can't see how the system be that bad?

I've never looked into LPG much.
What's the difference between Mixer & Injected?
Pro's / Con's ?

injector system is better, more modern technology, although it usually costs abuot $2000 more. It has zero power loss compared to a mixer system and its even more economical

a mixer system could backfire, and they get a mbit dirty and need cleaning every now and then, especially if you get some bad gas.

An injected system is more prone to blocked injectors from dirty gas than the mixer. But the part about blowin up the MAF sensor from having a manifold full of gas is right.
Just about every you need to know is Here (http://www.aussiemagna.com//forums/showthread.php?t=58722)

I've blown my intake piping off about a dozen times! Once i even blew the honey comb out of my MAF... fixed it all up and put it back in(was a bit mangled) and its still good!

Worst was once when i had a backfire and i blew my new K&N pod off.. i stopped.. looked in the engine bay.. all good.. then drove off over my new POD not knowing it had fallen out the bottom :( hahah

ahh! found this post finally! i've made a reply on the other gas thread.. could anyone here have a read of it and report back if you know anything?

Got a bad feeling this EzyGas guy is stuffing me around. "My Magna model has a diff setup.." wtf?

Oh yeah.. tried to look around for that reception girl - not in today..
