hay all clutch makes a grinding noise when i take off in 1st or reverse doesnt do it any other time

its when i pull ma foot off the clutch slowly , the clutch is a brand new hd ceramic clutch

Might be the clutch still bedding in, since its only doing it in 2 gears, its not the throwout bearing or fork.

Could be synchros even.

Not syncros at all as they are not being used when you are already in gear
Ceramic clutches are known for this especially when installed on a standard flywheel as the material is way too soft
The reason you are not getting this in other gears is because you are already moving, there is way less strain on the clutch as it takes a lot more effort to start a stationary object moving.

thanks guys, so will it grind like this all the time or what cause it is a pretty nasty sound.

took it back to the shop where it got fitted and he said im just riding it to much.. :confused: stupid idea it is.. so my choice's are bunny hop everywhere or skid everywhere or get a great grinding noise

between 1000 and 1500kms
