Well I have just discovered that my financial position is a bit better than what I thought it was (ie. I have some money). So now comes the time for me to upgrade teh exhaust on the TS. I'm pretty sure of getting either a lukey or redback muff, but it's looking closer to the good 'ol LR2779. Hopefully I'll be able to get dual tips, or a really big single tip.

I have a couple of questions that could do with a bit of answerin.

1. What would the cost of a cat back exhaust be?
2. How much should I expect to pay for a new lukey/Redback muff fully fitted with tip? I'm guessing $250 all up.

Unfortunately Lukey and Redback are my only two options. Teh Magnaflow and Xforce dual DTM tip muffs were either too expensive ($440 and $300) or too difficult to source (me imagines look of exhaust bloke - "What's a Magnaflow?")

Wish me luck. :D

EDIT: do'h, should read through all my previous posts...lol  :

GREMLIN'S RIDE

My last Car - TR V6 - LR2779 with dual chrome tips. Look pretty good, sounds ok, cost me $220 fitted

I have shown a pic of hte LR2779 in another thread in the for sale section. That's not it, that's the AL one, the LR has the exit point in the centre.

No, that's not the LR2779. It's the bolt-on equivilent. So it's still a straight through muffler.

I have one myslef, very nice!! :D

well I rang the exhaust bloke and I'm getting lukey LX-xxxx (that's right, LX - beats me) muffler installed. It's a bolt on job. Price is $195 plus $70-$80 for tip. I got a choice of dual tip or some 3.5" inch  Melikes teh idea of a nice big 3.5inch tip!

The first thing the guy asked me was "what sorta sound you after"....lol, he knew all about small tips looking *too small* in the bumper cutout and he also said "those magnas are hard to keep quiet". Sheesh, from the sound of the standard exhaust you wouldn't think so eh!

The guy said it's a simple 30-45 min swap. It goes in tomorrow @ 4pm. Perfect. I'll post up the exact model number and pics Thursday/Friday.
