Hey all,
Massively novice question here probably but I'm curious as to where and for how much I can these parabolic lights everyone seems to have? They look killer.
Cheers!

when going to a wrecker, dont mention them being para's or anything
just say headlights from a magna, and take a look
if they think they're something special they'll charge you a ****load, whereas if they think they're just magna headlights they wont think they're worth much

What fer0x is saying is that if you make them sound special/rare/more expensive (by calling them 'parabolic headlights' instead of 'headlights'), they're going to charge you more. Feign innocent and hope there's something there with paras :)

Paras only came on the TJ Sports, not the earlier ones. Otherwise yeah, it's all Veradas, the TJ VR-X and the TJ Ralliart.
Keep in mind there's two different versions - one with a separate indicator and headlight (two piece parabolics), and one with the two combined (one piece parabolic). If I recall correctly, two piece paras were the norm until early 2001 TJs - the earlier TJs had the two piece, then they all of a sudden became one piece. There's no significant model distinction (ie Series II) between the two.

ACE90,
Just to be sure you know - the Parabolic "Parra's" Headlamp units are designed for cars with a different wiring loom that the base-model Magna. Where standard cars use a H4 dual-filament High-Beam/Low-Beam lamp in the inner lamp, the Parabolics use H1 and H7 bulbs
Also be aware that 3rd Gen "standard" headlamps have better lighting performance than 3rd Gen Parra's.
Search the Forums here - there is excellent information about these matters. I bought a TJ series 2 Sports at a Repo Auction - had minor front crash damage, I assume had been fixed on the cheap by Prev Owner...... had standard lights fitted - car had no High-Beam at all due to differences in wiring design and different bulbs. I had to get a set of Parra's off E-bay - fortunately the set I bought had all the bulbs included, as well as some bulb-adaptors. Once parras were bolted-in, lights worked perfectly. Conversely, you need minor mods if you bolt parras into a "standard" car - its explained well in old posts here.
BTW - the set I bought for my TJ Sports are the one-piece type, and have ploycarbonate lens covering both headlight and the blinker. I've since bought a KJ series 1 - it has two-piece parras - headlamps are glass lens and blinkers are seperate as in standard cars.

If you are going to buy a set off eBay do not buy paras that are from American Diamante's as the are set up all wrong due to American cars being left hand drive. Paras from Japan conversely are fine. Best bet is to hit up the wreckers though.
