Hi All,

The cruise control on my Magna 2005 model, 3.5L, V6 automatic stopped working after the 90,000K service by the dealer. This service includes replacing the timing belt, and spark plugs. Any ideas on things I can check. Is there a separate fuse for the cruise control? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this model?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

If they broke it, make them fix it!

And yes, there is a fuse. Check the engine bay and kick panel.

G'day,
does the green "cruise" light come on? and the cruise control doesn't engage? could be the link to the throttle cable? They may have "played" with it when taking off the inlet manifold to get to the rear spark plugs. I'd take it back and ask them why? Politely course, and then if they BS you (hopefully they won't) say "O really we'll see". Should be covered under the 5 year warranty anyway.
Let us know how you go!!

could also be a vacuum hose. I had a vacuum hose taken off and not replaced. it was on the part behind the washer bottle on the drivers side guard

when i managed to make a mess with my head unit install I had the same issue. the light would come on but it just wouldn't work. when they properly installed the HU they changed a fuse and that fixed it.

Just take it back, if it's not too much hassle, if they broke it they will fix it!
