Bleh another problem.....
I have put an alarm in Magda, and I want to hook it up to the factory central locking but I have a couple of questions before I go all gung ho and blow 30 odd fuses.
Where in the vehicle is the easiest place to access the necessary wiring for it? My wiring diagram says there is a central controller but the picture puts it on the front passenger seat and I know it isnt there  and I cant find any of the wiring to follow it short of pulling off door trims.
And also, is this central locking system negative pulse? Positive pulse? If anyone knows off hand it would save me many trips to Sprint for fuses LOL
Cheers :)

hey, I can't help ya with ya problem. Electriics fail me in cars haha. But if you get stuck, I know an installer who does this (im pretty sure) and does an excellent job. And is very fairly priced. I've been very happy with his work. If ya want his details ask me :) otherwise, hopefully someone here will be able to help ya and you get it done yaself. Good luck with it mate.

ok, i have installed an aftermarket central locking system, i have also installed an aftermarket alarm system.
now, when i hooked up the alarm to the central locking, the alarm ecu replaced the central locking ecu.
i unplugged the wiring loom from the central locking ecu and cut and joined the wires to the new loom which plugged into the alarm ecu.
i presume you would do the same for the factory central locking ecu. locate this (not sure where you would find it, under the dash somewhere?) then cut the wires and attach to the new loom that plugs into the alarm ecu.
hope this helps, and makes sense:nuts:

Not having a go mate but using after market central locking is like putting a "T" model ford motor into a GE falcon. Most of them are generic rubbish.
Had you been a little patient I would have been more than happy to assist :)
You know now where the controller is, it is located up under the RHS of the dash and the relay pack is in the engine bay behind the battery.
The best shot is to use the trigger wires with the alarm straight onto the 2 wires that go to the activation side of the cental motor. You generally cut the wires and then use the wires in the kit. Provided the alarm kit. provided the alarm kit is a reasonable one, you will have 4 different options of central locking system and a diagram of how to wire in each. Magna's use a system similar to the european "shunt" system.

I have the factory locking, not after market..... I have found 4 wires coming off the master lock on the drivers door....
My installation guide gives me different ways to try it so I'll give it a go, thanks for your help guys.

Hmmmm this still has me stumped.......
I think I need 4 relays to wire up to the existing system....
I might just go and buy a slave motor and piggy back it off the drivers master motor and run the two systems independently.....
I am normally good with electrics too, but this one has me scratching my head.:headbange:
