they sound really really similar!!! and they've used an auto :x after much listening... the AR4-5597 probably sounds a little better... but i think its cause there isn't as much wind rush in the clip
Do they sound good though?
I think they might sound similar because the AL4-5597 is a rear sports systems for our Magna's from Lukey which actually includes a LR2779 muffler anyway? .... i'm just waiting for a rep from Lukey to email me back to confirm this though.

So the AL will reap more kw than the SR? Wish the standard sports exhaust sounded that good.

Hi Chris
The LR2779 is the ultra flo muffler used in the AL4-5597

haha, david atherton has been working overtime with us AM boys!!! thats 3 + emails in 3 days!!! haha
and yeah, of course they sound good!!! and thats not a biased opinion (although i get to listen to it on a daily basis, but i never get sick of it :D :D )
Note that the AL4-5597 is NOT a cat back system. It is a Rear section only it bolts up over the rear axle beam to a three bolt flange. The LR2779 has no pipe work on it at all, it is the muffler used in the AL4-5597. The AL4-5711 is also a rear section only, it also uses a ultra flo muffler.

I have pacemakers installed, I think it is really good compared to the Stock cast iron piece of crap. And It changes your exhaust note completely! When I had my Cannon, it burbles, but now with the RedBack muffler, I can't hear it burble no more, it's a lot quieter.
So, if you have your eyes on a set of Pacemakers, I would go for em, and you won't regret spending the money too, i think it's the best power mod i've done on the car.
Good luck.

The AL4-5597 sounds a lot better to me.
It sounds a lot deeper.
Maybe that is because it includes some piping as well.
Would i see any benefit from using this set-up on my Ralliart ?? Any power increase ??
Also, is it a direct bolt-on to a flange or is there some cutting and welding required ??
Where in Sydney can i get the AL4-5597 and what is the approximate cost ??

ralliart boy, the setup described above (sans extractors) will not help you much at all, it may sound a little different, but that is it... i'm not sure how good the ralliart extractors (i think they're different) but upgrading these may be an option....if owned a ralliart though i'd be going for Dave's (aka RPW's) race spec extractors... being full length they would be the best help to your Ralliart!
