Hey guys, my family just got a TJ Magna Sports and the previous owners had installed an aftermarket Pioneer CD/MP3/WMA Player, but they completely stuffed up the wiring for the audio outputs

The front speakers output sound, but the rear speakers have been wired to act as Subwoofers, they respond to the Subwoofer enahncements and do not produce anything except low frequencies ;)

This is the exact CD Player model

Now, I am a complete newbie to Car Audio, but I'm guessing the 2 RCA outputs (front/subwoofer) has something to do with it. So how can it be solved (I want all the speakers to output all the sound)?

1. Is there someway to switch it into the Front/Non-fading mode it mentions on the website. Much preferably without pulling the CD player out, as the car will just be taken to a professional place in the instance

2. Is it better just to replace it with another CD Player?
If so, can I have just 1 RCA output with sound to all the speakers, like this model?

Or will I need to upgrade to one with more RCA inputs, such as this one?

Sorry if any of this sounds stupid, but I'm completely clueless when it comes to Car Audio, but I'm clued-up on other Technology so it's a little frustrating for me :D

question, is an amp involved? if not, then its not wired into the rca inputs, and is probably just a setting on the deck thats been set wrong

I bet the silly bugger has used the direct sub drive mode on the rear speakers (uses internal amp is is meant to drive a sub directly from the deck amp),go into the menu and set rear to full or turn sub off etc,it will be in the manual, this would explain why it is only playing low pass stuff, either that or he has low passed them seperataly in the setup, check both,i reckon it will beone of them for sure!

go into the menu and set rear to full or turn sub off

Steve's got it in one.
The rears can be set to full range or sub. change this and all will be well ;)

Nothing wrong with setting rear speakers up for bass only, i did this in my car when i had to take out my subs for 3 months, sounded pretty good. Best way to do it is use the sub out, as all the filtering is already done.

If it's an amped system, to fix this you'll need to split the front RCA output into where the current sub output is being input, if there is no rear output. If there is a rear output, just use that.
If it's not amped, do what others have said and check the HU settings.

After finding the manual for this CD Player on the web, I have found all the correct settings so it now sounds very decent, thanks guys :)
