Hi
I Have a Magna TJ VRX 2001 model. Its my first 6 cylinder car and will be doing a service on it.
Does anyone know what sort of spark plugs are in my car already ?
Whats the deal with only changing 3 spark plugs in a service ? Wont all plugs be used evenly ?
Which spark plugs are best for a mainly LPG fuel car ? Cheapest place to get it ;)

Rear plugs are platinum's so they only get changed every 100k, with LPG go 1 heatrange cooler then what the book says, as LPG is a dry fuel and burns hotter then Petrol.

Hey Mate,
#1- Your guess is as good as anyones!,all depends on what the owner, workshop decided to throw in the engine
#2-Its because the manifold needs to be removed to access the rear bank, they put platinum or iridium plugs in their as the usually have a much longer life than normal plugs (approx 100,000kms),the fronts are normal plugs,i would put iridium all round
#3- Get onto the NGK site and pick your vehicle and it will recommend the correct plug, maybe even a lpg version, but if your runnign on petrol alot or the car burns oil,i would be suspect about using a colder range plug,if sole LPG,possibly even close the gap alittle to promote better combustion

You are best off just putting platinums in all round when you do them next.
Mits started with NGK and then for some unknown reason switched to Champion. No wonder they are no longer hey
With the LPG, generally you do go a range cooler but a lot of fitters will not change the rear plugs anyway and I have not had any issues with standard range
