Ok, i have three problems with my car that i have noooo idea what is causing them...i know how a car works, but i'm not sure of how it doesnt work -ie, when its broken.

ok 1st problemo: My mate one day ripped a mooney out my window, and his head hit off my rear view mirror, Mitsu said i had to get the whole windscreen replaced because a large chunk of glass came out with it and the integrity of the windshield was in question. So anyway, windscreens O'Brien replaced it, and i followed everything they said about letting it dry etc....this was about 5 months ago....anyway, ALL THE TIME my front window fogs up, not only with the light fog, but the the icy watery fog. Nothing i do fixes it. Whether the weather is hot or cold, it fogs up. Any clue?

2nd Problem: My car smells like a fish lol. Only really happens when the aircon is on...but it has an added extra, when u put the aircon on hot, the smell turns into maple syrup - which is pretty good lol. But yeah no clue what is causing that.

3rd Problem: The alarm triggers at random intervals when i enter the car, only goes away when i turn the car on. Happened about 6-10 times over the last month.

1st Problem: That's normal, turn the vents of re-circulate, will probably help with that issue.

2nd Problem: Get a hold of an air-con bomb and follow the instructions to let it off in the car and clean out the air con, that's the result of food scents getting into your cooling system, usually happens with meat.

3rd Problem: Probably a dodgy door button, they're $18 to replace new, otherwise hit up the wreckers.

Problems 1 & 2 i bet your heater core is leaking why due the fogging and the fish smell probably coolant leaking into the car. Check your carpets see if they are wet or damp or if your coolant levels are low. Keep an eye on them.
Another thing to check is the drain pipe for the aircon this might be blocked and not draining when aircon is on.
Problem 3 try what was mentioned previously.

Problem 4 i hope your mate paid for the new screen due to his "mooney" Brown eye what ever you want to call it.

Mate, to check the aircon, lift the carpet on the pass side right up under the dash where the tunnel is. You may see either a whitish or green sludge or if dry a powder

Third Gens are mongrels for leaking heaters, they have plastic fittings for the heater core and the fittings are sealed onto the aluminium core with nylon "O" rings which go hard and dry out.

Now apparently you can degas the air con and get to it this way but I far prefer to pop out the dash and do it this way, a lot more room to move and you can give the car a good clean out at the same time.

The alarm issue could be either of the switches as well as the bonnet and boot as well. I am curious to your description however as you state it goes off when you enter the car, this says to me you have already disarmed the system before you open the door? If this is the case, apart from you taking more than 30 seconds to open the door which I highly doubt, this is intriguing

Ok i think my heater core is leaving, i peeled back the carpet on passenger side, and it was slimey and i couldn't tell it if was green, and it smelt funny - so it look like my heater core is leaking? Im not very good with fixing things, and its under warranty - so would i be able to take it to the dealership? also, how much would it cost to fix?
