This is just an update on where my car got to. As you might know Mal (Madmagna) has finished my Magna and I have been proudly driving it around ever since. Here are some shots of the girl on it's Rego Day.

I added some nice rims on the last photo cos I cant stand the crappy hubs I put on her. Hopefully wont be much longer and I will have some on her :D

I am planning on getting some nice 17" rims for it soon. Then get some extractors and a nice sounding exhaust for her. Tint the windows but this time im going to tint a car (hopefully no bubbles) Lower it and get new springs. Do more to the stereo (at the moment it has my Kenwood 7 X 10's in the back running off the alpine 450watt 4 channel amp). I have a 12" sub that I might install into the spare wheel enclosure to save on space. Put the front speakers into some home made pods in front doors.
Oh nearly forgot the best part. Find another donor car to convert to a manual. Sick of driving auto's need more power.
Mal has done soo much to this car. Without him I wouldn't be able to live the dream of owning a trouble free Magna that looks great.
I plan on owning it for life
Go the 1ST GENS!!!!!!

LOL Painting a commodore, hmm that may go against my grain you know jk
If you want to drop over sometime I am certainly willing to have a look
Josh, I really think this car should be in the members rides section and keep it up to date as you do more mate, will be good to see some older machines in that section

i think the dominators look awesome. but good luck getting hold of some. i was told that they no longer make them about 6 months ago when i tried to get some. i tried again about 4 weeks ago and they said the same thing. instead i got the speedy wheels colbalt rims.
very tidy body there i like it. if you have trouble finding a donor car for you manual conversion i do have a spare manual tp that i am prepared if need be to rip out the manual components for someone. (see for sale section)

Thanks for the offer but I have another wagon which is manual that mal and I are going to use to do the conversion. I am going to buy a heavy duty clutch for it when we put it in. Cant wait :woot:

WOW...that is seriously an impressive looking vehicle...will look awesome with the wheels and the lowering, gives me something to look forward to with mine...out of interest with your stereo did you have any problems fitting it?

No problems with it. We put the head unit in which is a sony one and ran rca's to the amp. I now have a 12" sub in a box at the moment and im thinking of getting dual 12' MTX subs soon. Probably after the rims and spings get done.

A standard Astron does not need a heavy duty clutch to cope with that massive 90kw....

Maybe I want to do some more to the engine down the track. Its an ongoing project that will go on for a long time.
