Has anyone fitted aftermarket fog lights. If so, what brand and how easy was it. I looked at the front bumper of my car and it looks like round lights could fit quite well (or retangular ones of the right size, if available). Fortunately there are metal brackets at the back.
When fitting genuine foglights, does one remove the plastic surround (it tapers towards the back)?
Plan on getting some fog lights in over the Christmas break. Saw Narva kits at Auto One for about $140.

We fitted a pair of cheap "Aunger" elipse-shaped driving lights to a TJ Executive - fitted into the "trumpet" sections of the lower front bar.
We found a convenient hole above the "trumpet" opening, in which to mount the single-bolt bracket for the lights. They are not large lights at all, but we had to trim quite a bit out of the plastic "trumpet" panel (at the back of it) to fit around the driving light housing and the mounting bracket.... for the most part the trimmed out areas are not visible - at least not at a quick glance.
We bought a better-quality interior switch (there was wiring and relay and switch included in our lights) - Narva brand with LED indicator (same black oval switch is sold by all auto stores really). We mounted the switch in the lower dash panel underneath the iginition key - between steering wheel and drivers door.
We also ignored the instructions for wiring which came with our lights - they advised to have driving lights switched in isolation of all other lights (seemed a stupid idea to us), so we ran a relay off the hi/low beam lights, so if we dipped headlights to low beam, driving lights also dimmed....... much safer than having to dip main lights and manually switch off driving lights every time we saw an oncoming car.
Not sure if they add huge difference to night vision, but we are happy..... we live rural, so have the driving lights set a bit "wide" - trying to spot wildlife at edges of road before it hops into us! Also, as an Executive model, the standard lights gave fairly good hi-beam anyway (much better than Parras we have in two other TJ/KJ's).
Suggest you pull a "trumpet" from below your bar - if you have that same trim, and have a good look at opening and what's behind it - take that trim with you when you compare aftermarket lights. Good luck!
