I think the boot lid has a different curve along the bottom and as such does not fit, otherwise you would see alot more TJs with the TL VRX rear bar on them.

short answer no tl boots are alot curvier where it meets the bumper...

Tis ok, I'll ask my spray painter to melt in the plastic a bit on the edges to make it fit :)

I've taken a look, it seems the corners stick out about 2.5cm on the TL bars, so if they are pushed in (melted) and squared a bit it should fit good :) Besides - I got the bumper for $6! Even if I kill it, no big loss really.
