Hey guys,
Been keeping this under wraps, but I have finally completed it, and ready to share the results with the world!
I had a brain wave a few weeks ago and after quite a bit of cutting, shaping, bogging, sanding, painting, etc... This is the final result...
A truly one of a kind custom grille... Enjoy guys!

Would look a lot better without the mitsubishi badge and the 'beak' I think, or at least without the 'beak'.

I kept the beak because i wanted to keep some of the original styling.

Looks really good man. But i have to agree, it'd look better without the 'beak'.

I think if he didn't have the "beak" the missing part of the top grille fin would be too noticable.
Nice neat job mate!

I like the 'beak' - gives it that OEM look with a hint of this must have been a Special Edition model look as well.
What would it look like without the Mitsu emblem or maybe a Black Mitsu emblem ?
Top work mate!

Is this using the umm "special part" you were talking about? or is this all mitsu?
Looks very good man.

yeh, used that 'special part' i told ya about - Came up a treat.
Once you see it in real life, you'll notice the bonnet has a slight crease down the center, which flows well with the beak.

Without the badge it'd look "empty".
Good work there. Ill get some measurements of my badge if you're still interested, though to be honest, your one looks great as is!

I like it but would look better if the black lines going across were chome
Nice work.
Personally dont like the badge. It doesnt fit, because it sits too far behind the 'beak'.

Looks really good. I reckon that along with the current mitsu look (chrome badge with the black backing) would look the shiz.
But really nice work imho

Check out the link in my signature and have a look at the car as a whole - maybe a little different when you see the entire car.
But thanks for the feedback. :)

The Grille was an original TF grille with the vertical slats. The Middle section... well... trade secret... for now... lol
Let me have a one of a kind grille for a little while longer!
If you ask nicely, I may PM you what I used. lol

Was looking at getting it 'chromed' properly by a company that does a process called metalising, but its not a cheap option.
Instead I very carefully, and artistically used 12mm Chrome Pinstripe from Autobarn! lol You can only tell from about 30cms away.
Should last quite a while as the job I done was very particular.

We used to do that when I worked at Hella... and yeah, it is Hella expensive lol

No, I did my homeworklol
P.S. VH Commodore grille is a good alternative for mesh, ebay sells it for $30 bucks.
I love this photo, it matches your bumper grille. Perfect:clap:

Yuha, bit more work involved than the mesh in terms of correct shaping and attachment to the grille though.
But, obviously, can be done! lol
