My windscreen is leaking a bit from the top when it rains heavily (damn melb summer) what do the actual windscreen people use to seal a windscreen in there? or is it better i take it to them?
Trav

The stuff they use is like a Skiabond style material, you can get it from supercheap if its just for sealing the windscreen its not designed for putting in whole windscreens. Its about 12 bucks for a chalk tube

Remove the trim, carefully. Buy clear silastic and pump it in. Just fill up the channel under the trim between the glass and bodywork where you can see the screen is not sealing properly. Replace trim. Any silastic that weeps out can be removed, when dry using a single edged razor blade from the glass and mineral turps from the paint. Works well. I have the front screen trim held down by silastic only, as the plastic retaining clips had disintigrated from age.
PS. Worth fixing as water under the screen tends to cause rust.
