Howdy,

Just a quickie,i have a set of JVC splits that sound pretty darn decent laying aroung and would like to put them into my TW VRX that has the standard split sytem up front, what i need to know is,cosidering the JVC tweeter will never fit in to the stock delta location and the fac that i actually like the factory tweeters just fine (not harsh),is it possible to just use my JVC woofer paired with the factory tweeter,Do i need to use the JVC crossover or is there already one in the woofer line standard so i can just cut the old plug off and hook them up to the new woofer and im away??

Cheers

What is the diameter like on the JVC tweeter?

You'll be able to fit a tweeter in there up to 1.5" with a fair bit of gap filler or suitable caulking-gun applied adhesive/filler. Take out the stock mount behind the tweeter and fill into the delta with the new tweeter, easy as :)

Nobody, incuding me answered this.
The stock tweeter just has a resistor type splitter in the line and is not really close to a splitter.
I'd put in the new woofers with the real splitter and see how that sounds, a near on complete rewire will be needed.
It would work with just the woofer swapover, but that is not what it has been designed for, with that in mind you should install the kit and caboodle if you have an aftermarket Stereo.

If you just have the woofer changed over, i would not be surprised if you don't have the frequency span/cover that did before you started, so IMO all or nothing....
