Driving through Miranda Westfields on the car park roof, turned left when making an exit and this stoopid concrete island standing about 10 inches high and 40ft long and painted bright yellow got in my way

Had many-a-xmas-shopper laughing at me, nevertheless I though the trusty magna could cope with this. So tried to turn off it, but my wheels were just spinning as it appeared to be hoisted up on the tow eyes at the front. So i had to drive down the length of the island until i got to the end. Stopped car, towing eye has lost a massive chunk (who cares) and the under-tray is a bit scraped but still intact. Unfortunately, looks like an exhaust mount between cat and centre box has taken a battering. Definately going to have to take a closer look

Luckily i don't have the dump tip anymore otherwise that muffler would be history lol

I am such a tool

Westfield car parks are crap, never enough room to move.

Same with Townsville's Stockland carpark, have scraped front bumper on those plenty of times. Benny VR-X had a bit of a bingle there too :(

Cybermonkey,
You are not having much luck lately  That poor front end! Hopefully nothing major, just scraping..... Just another reason to avoid shopping centres in the lead up to christmas.

1st thing: wheelalignment

2nd: check everything underneath the car on a hoist with a good light....

cursed indeed. nothing but trouble! but at least its fun :)

Still drives straight as, not worried about wheel alignment. Luckily the wheel that hit the kerb has the brand new shock on it, so would have been fit to absorb the impact lol

wheel isn't buckled. Gonna jack the car up onto stands tomorrow to check underneath. too hot and muggy today to do it

your towing eyes got a chunk missing? Mine's bent 45deg. Lol, result of mounting an unpainted island earlier this year. You SHOULD be ok, but doesnt hurt to get under and have a good look.

Since when do you need a tow hook when you own a magna anyway?:P

Tow hook usage is reserved for only a handful of members.

Dave

yes, only needed by those exceeding 200kW at the wheels
