did a search didnt come up with the answer im after.

im gonna get an exhaust fitted. a 2" exhaust from each head. basically a dual exhaust from each bank. know my question is do i need to fitt 2 cats or can i go with out as the exhaust pipes will be fitted after the header cats. (380s run 3 cats)

any help appreciated.

They do have 3 cats, one in each engine pipe & one under the car.

Legally 3 cats need to be retained. Likelihood of every being scrutinised is probably never or less.

So in essence you'll be running the same system as a magna. Initially I thought you were going to run split twin 2's from each bank, in which case use the small cats and remove the larger one, place a balance pipe of 1.1/4" between the 2 systems not far after the further most cat from the engine (the rear bank's). Ensure the cats are placed the same distance from the heads for both banks.

can i ask why a 2" and not a 2.5" system afaik the 280 actually runs a 2.1/4" system stock so you would be going smaller thus inducing restriction in the flow of exhaust gases?

He's talking two 2" pipes one for each bank I believe.
